What To Expect in DC

Language: English is the main language spoken in Washington DC, but DC is an international hub with the most embassies in America, so you’ll hear many different languages.

Currency: The US Dollar ($)

Credit Cards and Banks: ATMs are easy to find in the city, and most hotels, restaurants, and food trucks will accept credit cards. Some water vendors even use Venmo or PayPal.

Best Time to Visit: It’s always a good time to visit Washington DC. Whether you’re looking to see the cherry blossoms in the city or prefer the warmer weather, there are tons of bucket list experiences for travelers throughout the year. For pleasant weather, the best time to visit is in the springtime (April to June) and the fall (September to mid-October). However, if you are looking for the most affordable time to visit, mid-January to the end of February is the best time to go.

Helpful Tip: Always keep a form of identification, as it is illegal to not have one in DC.
